Blog to check out

Just a quick blog note tonight to send you all over to 1000 Dirty Faces.
My favorite photographer & a great guy (who just happens to be my cousin-in-law & neighbor :), Chad, has a cool blog going for photographers & photographer-wanna-bes.  It doesn't hurt that he is also the father of the 3 cutest boys in the world & that most of the time they are more than willing to be his photography victims...err, I mean...subjects :D

So what are you waiting for...go check it out! :)

Heading toward normal

This time next week I'll be sitting in my 1st nursing class of my 2nd semester of nursing school. I'm both excited & a little nervous.  I'm anxious to get going & get done with my degree, but this semester will be my 1st semester with an all day clinical so that makes me a little anxious.  Thankfully this semester I only have to drive 3 days a week to Jasper.  Not only should that save a lot of money but it should also allow me more time for studying & more time for doing things I need to do around home. (Like keeping up on laundry :)  Livi heads back to school tomorrow. It's hard to believe her 6th grade year is half over. I think she's ready for it to be done.  Pretty soon, we'll be back into some kind of routine & life will feel "normal" again.  Whatever the heck that is - haha!

I wanted to get some reading done over break, but so far all I managed to get read was "Mockingjay" by Suzanne Collins.  It's the final book in the Hunger Games series.  A great series. A  fairly quick read.  I would highly recommend them if you're looking for something a little different to read. Rumor is they will be casting & starting production on the movie version sometime this year.

Well, I'm off to update the checkbook in Quicken & balance it for the first time since March of 2010.  Yikes! I couldn't believe I'd let it go that long. Wonder how many errors I'll have to search for & fix?  Every time I get it all caught up I swear I'm not going to let it go like that & every stinkin' time I do.  Wish me luck - haha!
